Prime Climb and Mountain Fun will be closed Monday May 30th for the Memorial Day holiday. will will re open at our regular time on Tuesday May 31st.
All visitors to Prime Climb and Mountain Fun must complete our Waiver/Assumption of risk document. You can save time by completing the waiver online before coming to the gym
Note on group sizes and busy periods
While reservations are not required for individuals at Mountain Fun we do suggest that groups of 6 or more call in advance. If you wish to avoid crowds, birthday parties, and busy periods you can call ahead before heading to the gym. The phone number for Mountain Fun is 203-265-4006
New to climbing?
Our Mountain Fun facility is great for kids and first time climbers who are wondering if climbing is for them. We provide all the gear for your first try a climb . NO appointment or reservations required for individuals at Mouintain Fun. Larges groups should call ahead and fill out waivers in advance.

Think climbing is for you, or want a bit more of a workout? Checkout a Try a Climb at Prime Climb. Our advanced try a climb is $70 for two people and includes all gear and a staff belayer to assist you and help you get the most from your climbing experience. Basic knot and belay classes are held every wednesday@ 7:00 - Classes coincide with our regularly scheduled Meetup. No appointment necessary. Cost is $35 and includes all necessary equipmentment. Let Prime Climb introduce you to the fastest growing sport in the 21st century, Indoor Rock Climbing. The sport of indoor climbing began in the late 60's in Europe and spread to the US in the late 1980's. When Prime Climb opened its doors in 1993 it was the first climbing gym to open in Connecticut, and at the time, only one of a handful of gyms operating in the US. In the beginning the sport was primarily enjoyed by climbers who used the gym for physical training and conditioning purposes. Today, indoor climbing on artificial walls, has grown to become a sport the can stand on its own or serve as a gateway to further adventures outdoors. Much like outdoor climbing, indoor rock climbing challenges the mind as well as the body.
This sport is perfect for active children, teens, and adults wishing to experience a workout that is challenging, exhilarating and fun. Climbing provides a unique combination of mental and physical challenges that will ensure continued interest in the sport and an all-around conditioning workout. Climbing also increases flexibility, strength, and endurance, while being immersed in single-minded concentration of the task at hand.
